The Beginning

The Beginning

We stand in perfect rows
Armed with ammunition

We stand in perfect rows
Faces full of determination

We stand in perfect rows
The army comes marching towards us

A gunshot is heard
Chaos, frenzied, scattered, panic

The war has begun

Note: This is sort of based on the start of the Revolutionary War. That war really did change the world. So I wrote in the POV of a minute-man.

alright so i really liked this poem up to the point where you added the explanation/ civil war stuff -- mostly because it kinda took away the mystery of the poem and i initially wondered if you were in some sort of gang violence. lol but the poem part was very good -- very literal yet poetic

Fantastic poem, I like how you took the assignment and showed a personal side of a global issue. I loved it.
